Latest Loves

Keeping it short and sweet today with some of my latest loves!

Since I’ve been trying to eat 20 or less carbs a day, I thought I’d share two of my favorite ultra low carb recipes that take the edge off of my HUGE sweet tooth.

  • “Cheesecake” I’ve made this twice, with a slight difference each time-
    • 8 oz cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 3/4 cup Splenda (or whatever sugar sub)
    • Just mix all that together and let chill in the fridge.
    • The next time I made it I did almost the same thing, but with about 1/2-3/4 of the normal butter and added some lite cool whip. YUM!
  • “Lemonade” This is something that I wish I could drink everyday, but lemons are so darn expensive!
    • 1 lemon (I cut it in half, squeeze the juice into my cup, and then peel out most of the pulp because I LOVE pulp), 8-12 oz water & ice, 2 tbs Splenda (sugar sub), & a dash of cayenne pepper. Soo Yummy!

I just ordered this bodysuit & I cannot wait for it to come in! I’ve been looking for an off the shoulder shirt and I love this one!

I bought this tee the other day & It’s super soft and comfy, with a very relaxed fit. I would say that the color is more of a deep burnt orange. I’m wearing it here.

This Nyx Lip Liner in Mahogany is beautiful for a contoured red/ mid-deep lip. It’s also really great lined & blended into the lips on it’s own or with some clear gloss.

Have a great day y’all!

    • Next, I deepened my crease with shade #2, staying away from the inner 1/3 of my eye
    • Then, I blended it out with shade #3
    • I used #2 again on my lower lash line & blended it out with shade #3
    • Finally, I patted shade #4 onto the inner corner & inner 1/3 of my lid with my finger, blending it slightly toward the outer corner & onto the inner corner of my lower lash line about 1/2 the way over

Florida Fun!

A couple weeks ago a friend of mine and myself drove down to Florida to stay with the family I’m working for for about a week. Just to put this in perspective, it takes about 21 hours (without traffic) to get there. We spent about 4 good days in the car total. The drive down went great because we had warm, sunny Florida to look forward to, but the drive back was terrible because all we had was 30 degree weather waiting for us at home…. sitting in a traffic jam for three hours in Georgia wasn’t very nice either, but at least we made it through safe and sound. I thought I’d share some pictures and talk about my favorite parts a little bit. Enjoy.

Parasailing 3 Parasailing 2 Parasailing

We went parasailing and it was so much fun!! It was way more smooth once you’re up there. Didn’t even really feel like you were moving. Definitely worth doing at least once. The scariest part was the boat ride- the water was a little choppy and the guys working were young and didn’t hesitate to jump across the ocean hitting all the bumps. We were flying all over that boat. They were pretty cool though, nice guys.

We also went paddle boarding and boogie boarding, but didn’t get any pictures. We paddle boarded on a day with too many waves so it was very hard especially being our first time, but it was still really fun. The next day when we went boogie boarding the waves were basically nonexistent, but it was out last day and wanted to squeeze it in. Overall, very fun even if we did switch the days.

Alexa and Me

Alexa & I- she actually turned two while they were down there. She’s the sweetest child ever.

Jayde

This is the only photo I have of Jayde while we were down there. She was loving the snapchat filters.

Tayah, Ally, and Me

Ally, Tayah, and I. I absolutely loved how her hair curled from the humidity.

Touch of Nature Cosmetics

One of the most exciting things in my blogging career happened the other day: A Cosmetic Company sent me a few products to try out. I was lucky enough to completely fall in love with them too! They sent me a chocolate liquid lippie and a loose eyeshadow. I honestly love both of them. The lippie is very warm toned, but my newly Florida tanned skin really goes with it so that’s super amazing. The loose eyeshadow is a really sexy shimmery brownish-purple- I used it to create a super sexy smokey eye. (The photos don’t even begin to show how smokey it is!)

P.S. I’m not getting paid to like these products, I legitimately really like them! Just so you know 🙂

Hope you’re having a swell day!

Easter Makeup

When I think of Easter my mind first goes to my Lord sacrificing his son to die on the cross for our sins, and then coming back to life on the third day. After that my mind goes to all of the pretty pastel colors. I really love the color of Easter, it’s one of my favorite color schemes of the year.

This year Emily Barrow (Em Glam Guru) and I put together some fun Easter looks for you to pull off.

Here’s my Easter Makeup:

Healthy on a Budget

One of the most frustrating things I’ve found on my journey to a healthier life has been the fact that everything costs so much dough! I’m not into spending piles and piles of money on things I might not stick with. You know, shoes, fitbits, yoga mats, gym memberships, workout vids, the list goes on and on, you could really spend as much as you want on these things. I decided to try and find more affordable options for those of us on a tight budget.

Being healthy on a budget:

  1. the knockoff fitbit- Roocke Fitness Tracker. I bought this the other day and I love it so far! It’s so much cheaper than a fitbit, and still totally awesome. I know some knockoffs are pretty crappy, but this is not one of them.
  2. the waist training fad- I decided to give it a try. So far I really like it. I just wear the trainer for a couple hours a day, especially if I’m going to be walking a lot, and then I take it off. I don’t know that it’ll have many lasting effects, but I can tell it’s already helping with my terrible posture. Again, you could spend north of $100, but I paid around $20. I bought This Yianna one off of amazon & I’m very pleased.Waist Trainer
  3. I have hard wood floors where I live so I was in desperate need of a yoga mat. I’m not an expert, and I’m not picky so I just looked for the cheapest ones and even the ones on amazon were like upwards of $15, but at good old wally world I found one for a mere $8, HERE. Again, I just wanted one so I didn’t have to lay on the hard floors.
  4. Workout vids, while these will be pretty useful, I just can’t see myself spending much money on something that I will probably hate with a passion. So what do I do? Youtube. There are quite a few good workouts on youtube for a whopping $0. You can’t beat that.
  5. As for a gym membership. I’m not looking to really bulk up, so working out at home will be fine enough for me. I actually walk around my house- though the kitchen, around the living room, and back again. I do that for like an hour at a time.
  6. The only thing I don’t really want to skimp on is sneakers. I don’t want to get super cheap ones that are going to be uncomfortable. Comfort is key in my book. So what am I going to do? Wear my old ones for a while longer. Eventually the ones I want will go on sale and I’ll snag them. Until then, my old ones will be good enough.

Have a lovely day my pretties!

Affiliate Links

There is something I want to speak about just so y’all know. Affiliate links. Most of the links I post that lead to amazon are affiliate links. This mean that I get a portion of whatever the price is on the item I refer. However, I don’t just post thing to try to get you to buy them just so I can make a little extra cash. I’m just sharing the stuff that I’ve already bought and fallen in love with. Since I was posting the links anyway, I thought why not try to make the most of it. Amazon doesn’t pay me just to post the stuff, so I’m not getting anything just to post link or anything like that. Hope this clears it up for some of you that were unsure of how it works.

Have a great day beautiful!
