Valentines Day Makeup 3

My third and final Valentines Day Makeup Look is probably my favorite. A smokey eye and nude lip. I’ve heard that guys did this look because it’s the whole “I just rolled out of bed and look this amazing.” Blah blah blah. I love how easy and effortless this look is.

Glowing Winter Skin

Everybody wants that glowing skin, I get such dry skin in these cold months. This winter I’m going to try my hardest not to overdue it with my skin.

Here’s how I’m planning on fighting the flakes-

  1. I will use a gentle facial cleanser. My favorite is Cetaphil.
  2. I will moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. My favorite at the moment is Cetaphil.
  3. I will cool it with the drying acne products.
  4. I will drink lots and lots of water.

Just doing those things will help extraordinarily.

Here’s best glowy winter skin makeup tutorial. It really highlights your skin for a illuminated soft look.

Movie Madness

I think I’ve seen 7 movies since the last time I’ve talked about movies on here.

My mom and I went to Star Wars: The Force Awakens the Friday it came out. We both liked it. It’s not exactly my thing, but I still thought it was quite a decent movie. My brother who’s extremely into Star Wars absolutely LOVED it.

I saw Sisters on Christmas Eve. It wasn’t the worst movie I’ve ever seen. It had it’s moments. That being said, I think I’m going to make ‘going to a movie on Christmas Eve’ a new tradition.

On Christmas my bother, mother, and I went to Joy after going to my Aunt and Uncles. It wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. Don’t get me wrong, it was pretty good, but I had high expectations. Jennifer Lawrence was outstanding in it though.

I went to The Big Short twice, driving 2.5 hours there and back both times… well my mom drove the second time. If that isn’t an indication of how much I loved it I don’t know what is. It was the best movie I saw in 2015. Just Perfect.

I saw Concussion by myself and I really liked it. It’s not the best movie I’ve ever seen, but it was better than I thought it was going to be, not that I thought it was going to be bad or anything. Will Smith did an excellent job.

My sister, brother, mother, and I saw The Revenant the Thursday it was early released. We really liked it. It was a tad long (ringing in at 156 minutes… 2 hours and 36 minutes), but the acting was great, especially Tom Hardy, the story was cool, everything looked so realistic, it was filmed perfectly, and it was so darn visually pleasing. All in all, however, I don’t feel Leo should get an Oscar for it. *shots fired*

My brother and I saw The Hateful Eight the next day. If you thought 2 hours and 36 minutes was long you’re going to die at this… 187 mintues…. That’s 3 freaking hours and 7 minutes…. While that’s counting credits and such, the movie itself was nearly 3 hours. Anyway, it was pretty good, pretty bloody, but good nonetheless. Will I watch it again? Probably not, but I still thought it was worth seeing, but make sure your theater is comfortable and you have copious amounts of snack because that is a long bottom movie.

Catch ya later!

Valentines Day 1.3

I paired a soft eye with a bright red lip. Such a classy look for any time of the year, but perfect for a romantic evening. I will say the the lip is more of a true red in person, rather than the sort of berry red it looks in these photos.

Netflix Picks

I’ve been so super busy, that I haven’t been able to prepare many posts ahead of time. Sorry for that. You can yell at me later. To make up for it a little, I thought I’d gather all my favorite shows on Netflix so you can have yourself a nice binge watching session.

Netflix

These aren’t really in any particular order:

  1. Gilmore Girls– This has almost everything… laughs, tears (of both joy & sadness), drama and heartwarming feelings

2. Parks and Recreation– like most shows, once you get to know the characters, you simply fall in love. This show is hilarious.

3. House M.D.– One of my very favorite dramas, and it makes me feel like I could diagnose your illnesses.

4. Lost– while the plot isn’t always spot on, the characters are awesome. Seriously some of my favorite characters of all time.

5. This Killing– the first two seasons are so good, so eerie and mysterious.

6. New Girl– This is one of my favorite more light, chick flicky comedies.

7. The Following– it’s legitimately scary and gory at times, but the first season is really great, and the others aren’t bad.

8. The Office– so funny it’ll make you wish your job was like this.

9. How I Met Your Mother– It’s not my favorite, but It’s nice and light and pretty darn good- especially the first time you watch it.

10. Arrested Development– who doesn’t love shows about crazy families?

11. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia– they’re horrible people, but it can be hilariously funny.

12. Breaking Bad– the acting is great, the story is great, it’s just a really great show.

13. Broadchurch– a really great detective show. I haven’t watched season two yet, but I have high hopes. (it’s the British version of Gracepoint by the way, they just changed the plot slightly here and there)

14. Heroes– okay, the first season is really good, each season goes downhill quite a bit.

15. Sherlock– a modern spin on a classic story & I love it.

There are so many more that I like, these are just some of my favorites 🙂

Tune in later this week for something SUPER exciting!!!

Hope you all had a happy New Year!

Soft & Sweet Makeup

As soon as I saw This makeup look by Maskcara I knew I had to give it my best shot. I mean, there was some serious inspiration going on.

Like she said, there is a certain sweetness that comes with no-bottom-liner. A certain girliness that I’m really loving.

Disclaimer: I really stink at top liner, especially the liquid sort, so bear with me 🙂

Too Hot Tuesday Makeover- Lisa

This weeks Too Hot Tuesday Makeover is on my beautiful mother. With the Christmas season well underway, I’ve been thinking so much about what I’m thankful for. My mother is one person I am truly, truly thankful for. I am so blessed that God gave her to me to be my mother, I couldn’t have picked a better person. She is beautiful beyond belief. She is the most genuinely kind person I’ve ever met. Love and happiness radiates off of her.
